Literally translated to mean “Sound of the Nation”; Umdumo Wesizwe’s vocals and dance routines purely represent the versatility of Zimbabwean dance and song. Igusheshe is their own style of music created and developed by Umdumo Wesizwe gaining inspiration from the world popularly known Imbube. This is a unique style of vocal music which incorporates R n B; Jazz; Reggae and Hip Hop. They are on their “The Return Tour” which will see them touch base in rural venues in the autumn of 2009.
